Furniture

A $5 garage sale book case covered with Thomas Guide pages and mod podge.

An $8 thrift store table.  The legs were painted with leftover paint from Christine's room 12 years ago!  Christine's friend's dad had some oddly shaped wooden boxes.  I knew I could do something with them.  One of them fit nicely on top.  It was painted with a flat sample I had gotten from Home Depot.  Both covered in several layers of Polycrylic.  The top is covered with left over scrapbook paper, and a few new sheets I purchased.  This desk sits in the corner near my bed (not in the garden) and makes me so happy when I can sit at this colorful desk and look out the window.

I bought this little stool for a couple of bucks, painted it, and covered it with tissue paper and mod podge.

This was originally a mirror with shutters on both sides.  It was a reject from a pink elephant Christmas gift exchange at work.  No on wanted it, so I took it home.  Remove the shutters and add paper. Voila!  The detail gives a better idea of the mix of pattern and colors.

While at the Salvation Army store in Glendale on Brand, I found a black, poorly painted Ikea chair for $5.  With an additional $5 worth of scrapbooking paper--Voila!
