This is an altered book called "Knowing". It was a book called "Knowing the Birds". You will see that I painted over all but the word "knowing" for the title page. If you flip up the picture of the girl, there is an entry on the back:
Knowing is reached layer by layer, line by line.
Though life seems to unravel,
it is re-woven anew using the same threads.
The wind blows the leaves to reveal
the solid earth beneath.
Blue represents truth, peace, faith,
and for Native Americans, intuition,
the inner voice of wisdom.
The cross signifies truth.
Look fear squarely in the face;
truth will be reflected back,
and the clarity of knowing.
